Frequently asked questions

Everything clients ask before signing on.

Grouped by topic — equipment and savings, healthcare risk management, capabilities and contracting, and general questions about working with us.

Equipment & savings

Are we required to include all of our equipment on the plan?

No — it's unrealistic to assume every piece of equipment is best served under this plan. We do encourage clients to submit every equipment service agreement for analysis, so we can build a comprehensive proposal recommending the best option for each piece of equipment, at the right cost.

What type of equipment does the plan cover?

General office equipment, information technology equipment, mail room equipment, security equipment, and communication equipment — fax machines, printers, telephone systems, computers, servers, and similar assets that are electronic in nature.

Does the plan cover facilities equipment like elevators or HVAC?

Elevators, escalators, and HVAC are usually handled with labor-only contracts. In our experience, this equipment is best maintained under a service agreement with the OEM or a qualified service vendor.

How does Maintenance Matrix deliver savings?

The Maintenance Matrix Cost Savings Plan replaces full-service agreements with one consolidated plan and recommends proven alternatives, providing savings of 20–27% off current maintenance expenditures.

Who performs the service on my equipment?

Your preferred service provider performs the maintenance and repairs — Maintenance Matrix manages the agreement and pays the vendor directly.

Healthcare risk management

What's the difference between an HMO, MSO, and IPA?

An HMO manages member care through a provider network. An MSO provides administrative and management support to physician groups. An IPA is a group of independent physicians who contract together, often to negotiate with health plans and share resources. Maintenance Matrix works with all three — see the Healthcare Risk Management page for more.

What are RAF and MRA?

Risk Adjustment Factor and Medicare Risk Adjustment — scoring systems that determine reimbursement based on the documented health status of a plan's members. Accurate medical records review protects that revenue.

Do you work directly with physicians?

Yes, on monthly reporting, credentialing paperwork, and outreach materials like PCP welcome letters, working alongside your marketing department.

Capabilities & contracting

What does SDVOSB mean?

Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business — a federal certification for small businesses majority-owned and controlled by veterans with a service-connected disability. Maintenance Matrix, LLC holds this certification.

What NAICS codes do you operate under?

Ten codes spanning management consulting, facilities support, and electronic equipment repair — the full list is on the Capabilities page.

Which states have you worked in?

Pennsylvania, Maryland, and North Carolina, plus federal clients, from the company's Philadelphia home office.
